Andrew Ngai Is Better At Excel Than You

Andrew Ngai, a director at the consulting firm Taylor Fry in Australia, is the Lord of Excel—a title all of you plebs hope to one day achieve.

Ngai showed off his Excel wizardry during the Financial Modeling World Cup, an esport competition in which participants were asked to create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to solve complex problems. According to the website Windows Central, 128 people competed in the FMWC, including competitors from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

During the championship on Dec. 11, Ngai defeated Canadian Michael Jarman by a score of 734-280. A perfect score in the finals would have been 1,000, so at least we know Ngai isn’t some perfectly constructed spreadsheet-making robot. For taking first place in the competition, Ngai won $10,000.
