Marcum Chairman, CEO, and Going Concern fanboy Jeffrey Weiner must be feeling extra charitable during this season of giving, as he’ll be putting a little something extra in Marcum employees’ stockings on Jan. 1, 2022. A tipster provided us with this email that Weiner sent to Marcum employees today, with “Mid-Year Salary Increases” in the subject line:

The past year has proven to be as challenging as 2020, just in different ways. Marcum is experiencing extraordinary levels of growth and we know this has resulted in increased workloads for most, if not all of us. You continue to be our most important asset and your ongoing commitment to excellent client service, high-quality work and dedication to Marcum is recognized and appreciated. To that end, Marcum will be breaking with tradition and is giving mid-year salary increases effective January 1, 2022 at the following levels:

Staff, Senior & Supervisor – 10%Manager – 7.5%Senior Manager & Director – 5%Operations Associates – 5%

This comes just four months after our last annual compensation adjustments which occurred on September 1.

This adjustment will not replace our typical annual raise and promotion cycle on September 1, 2022, nor will it replace our standard bonus cycles. This is our way of saying “thank you” and keep up the great work. Marcum, with you on our team, continues to do great things and our collective accomplishments foster an environment of continued growth and excellence.

We hope you notice the emphasis we have been putting on our associate benefits over the past few months with major improvement to the Parental Bonding Leave and Pregnancy Disability Leave policies, as well as Marcum’s significant increase in contribution to our two HSA medical plans. We value your feedback and we hope this shows.
